Domain name renewal must be done be email.  Domains can not be renewed by telephone.

Please be advised that no guarantee is EVER made on the availability of a domain name. Ordering domain registration from us does not in any way constitute any type of guarantee as to the availability of any domain name before, after, or at the time of your purchase.

There are numerous Registrars now handling the registration of domain names.  It is handled on a first come first served basis. In the unlikely event somebody else is registering a domain name at the same time you are registering it, the first one to complete the process will receive the domain name.
 

Transfer Notice:

Once you approve the transfer, it goes to a pending area where the enom.com for processing of the transfer. The process includes an automatic lookup of the current admin contact's e-mail address.
 
enom.com sends an email to this admin contact email address which contains a unique URL for approval of the transfer.  The admin contact then go to the unique URL and approve the transfer. Also, it is required that the admin "Agree" to the enon.com contract so when they go to their unique address, they'll take care of this.

 Once the domain owner agrees to the transfer, it is automatically sent to the Registry where it awaits approval. Unless the losing Registrar explicitly denies the transfer, it will go through in 5  days. It can go through sooner if the losing Registrar explicitly approves the transfer but we don't look to see that happen very often so it will likely be the five days for a transfer to occur.

 If the transfer is denied by the losing Registrar or the
 domain owner themselves, the credit which was removed from your account is placed back into the account automatically. The order is also tagged as "Cancelled" and a note is sent to the person who requested the transfer with the appropriate message outlining what took place.  The person requesting the transfer should be the Registrant, who should also be the admin contact of the domain.
 

"Instances when the requested change of sponsoring Registrar may be denied include, but are not limited to:
 

1) Situations described in the Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy
2) A pending bankruptcy of the SLD Holder
3) Dispute over the identity of the SLD Holder
4) Request to transfer sponsorship occurs within the first 60 days after
the initial registration with the Registrar"

Network Solutions and Register.com have added a step to this process when the domain name is registered with them.  The step involves them sending out an email to the admin contact, requesting approval of the transfer.

If you do not return their email immediately, they will deny the transfer.  If you do not respond exactly in the manner their email directs they will deny the transfer.

If you do everything right, they may still deny the transfer, claiming you did not return their  email, you did not return it in time or you did not respond in the proper manner.

They are using this email as a method to deny transfer and prevent the loss of the revenue from renewing the domain name.  If your domain name is registered with either of these two companies it may take two or make attempts to complete the transfer and may take extra effort on your part to complete the transfer.
